Restaurant - KPot

We tried KPot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot in Woodbridge, NJ. This was our second attempt, the wait can be very long on the weekends. Originally we tried to dine on a Sunday but the wait was 2 hours so we went elsewhere. During the week, Monday through Wednesday is your best option. If you have a long lunch break, that's even better because your all you can eat buffet will be $20.99 instead of the $31.99 dinner price.

If you've tried Hot Pot before you understand the concept. You pick your soup base and a bowl will be brought to you, where you choose ingredients and cook the soup yourself. You get to choose between raw/cooked meats, seafood, vegetables and tofu goodies. There is also a sauce station to add flavoring to your meal and some pre-cooked appetizers.

But wait, my brother just uncovered the best K Pot hack. He found Ramen noodles on the menu and decided to make Ramen soup. He said it tasted great but wasn't sure how long to cook the noodle. There is a small guide at the table, but it didn't really help us. It's always a good idea to look up cooking times on google. I would recommend 3-5 minutes based on the information below. For Ramen I recommend adding the egg, going with pork and some seafood. Also consider adding some dumplings. Gyoza is a traditionally Japanese dumpling so you can't go wrong. I enjoyed it in my soup. There is also a miso soup base to choose from. I think Hot Pot takes some trial and error to figure out what you like. The good news is that all the ingredients here were fresh and top quality to start with.
