Afro Samurai is worth a binge watch for this 5 episode gem. Samuel L Jackson is the voice of the main character Afro. The plot revolves around his attempt to get revenge for his father's murderer. His father was the former #1 samurai, his murderer is now the current #1 by ownership of the #1 headband. However Afro's quest will not be easy. Only the number #2 samurai can kill the #1 samurai. He must move up the ranks, but also defend himself against others who are looking to hold the same title.
Aside from the solid story line, the series is visually stunning. If your looking for more details read the original Afro Samurai! Magna by Takashi Okazaki. There is also a sequel Afro Samurai: Resurrection released in 2009 that I have yet to see.
