Anime - Parasyte

 

I chose to watch Parasyte, a 24 episode series about a parasytic relationship.  Like the name suggests, earth has been invaded by aliens who take over a human host. High School student  Shinichi finds his right hand replaced by Migi. Migi is unsuccessful at taking over his brain.  They then share the same body and are both protagonist and antagonist. Migi proves he is not pure evil as his friendship causes him to  protect Shinichi

The government learns of the parasytes and develops a plan. They use xrays to identify the aliens and shoot them individually. Then later develop a task force and more comprehensive aproach. Shinichi works with the police to help identify aliens, while protecting Migi.

This series is very well written and relatable.  It's classified as horror but also includes sci-fi, suspense, thriller, and action. 

Restaurant- Little Tokoyo

 

Little Tokoyo restaurant in Rahway has become one of my favorite lunch time restaurants. They are a small restaurant located next to Dairy Queen at 745 E Hazelwood Avenue. 

The lunch specials are Monday through Saturday 11am-3pm. They include Bento boxes, Noodles, Teriyaki, Hibachi or Sushi combinations. The food is made after you order and very fresh.  This is a great value for the price. Meals include miso soup, rice and a spring roll. 

I'm also a fan of the decor.  Blending light wood, white and blue colors.

Comments: The bottom half is dipped in Chocolate, the top half is dipped in mint chocolate.  Tastes like girl scout's thin mints or After Eight mints.
